Nederlands? Lees de Nederlandse versie.
The short version
- I don't ask for your real name, email address, contacts or photos.
- Your career progress is saved only on your own device.
- Only if you play online: your online boxer (a player ID, the fighter name you choose and your online progress) is stored on my game server, so you can fight other players. You can delete it in the game at any time.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Google collects some device data to show and measure those ads. In the EU, UK and Switzerland you decide whether ads may be personalised, and on iPhone you decide whether the game may track you.
Who is responsible
Bag to Belt: Idle Boxer ("the game") is made by Jelani Jonathans, an independent developer in the Netherlands ("I", "me"). For anything about this policy, email bagtobelt@protonmail.com.
1. Data stored on your device
Your progress (strength, money, items, story progress), your settings, the fighter name you type in and how long you have played (so the feedback question only comes now and then) are saved in the app's own storage on your device. This data is not sent to me or to anyone else. It is removed when you choose Reset progress in the game's settings or delete the app. Your device's own backups (for example iCloud) may include it, depending on your device settings.
2. Online mode (optional)
If you open the Online tab and choose Play online, the game connects to my game server. To run your online boxer, ranked fights and the leaderboard, the server stores:
- a player ID: your Game Center team player ID (when you sign in with Game Center — the server checks Apple's signature, it never sees your Apple ID, email address or password), or a random guest ID created on your phone;
- the fighter name you choose (shown to other players) and your boxer's look;
- your online progress: stats, training, coins, skills, rating, season results, daily rewards, fight results, Fight Case keys and what came out of your cases, and when you were last online (for the free case after a week away);
- coin packs you buy (see section 4): Apple's transaction number, which pack, how many coins and when — so every purchase is paid out once;
- players you blocked, and reports you send about a name;
- technical data needed to keep the connection working, such as your IP address, which is not stored.
Other players see your fighter name, look, division, rating and fight record. There is no chat; emotes are fixed phrases. Fights run on the server so nobody can cheat.
Feedback (optional)
If you choose Send feedback in the settings, or answer the short feedback question the game shows now and then (after about an hour of play, never more than once every two days, and you can close it), the server stores what you write, the score you give (if any), the game version and whether you played offline or online. When you are signed in online it also stores your player ID and fighter name, so I can see which boxer it is about. Only I read it, to make the game better. To have it removed, email me.
The server is hosted by Render (Frankfurt, Germany) and the database by Supabase (in the EU), who process this data on my behalf. I keep your online boxer as long as you play; you can delete it at any time in the game under Online → ⚙ → Delete my online profile, which removes it from the server for good. Online boxers that have not been used for two years may be deleted.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and is paid for by ads, shown with the Google Mobile Ads SDK. To show ads, Google may collect:
- device identifiers: the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking, and an app-specific identifier;
- your IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
- which ads were shown and whether you interacted with them;
- device and app information such as model, system version and language;
- crash and performance data of the ads software.
Google uses this to show ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, to measure ad performance, to prevent fraud and, only with your consent, to personalise ads. Google processes this data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. More: how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Your choices
- EU, UK and Switzerland: Google's consent message appears before any ad is requested. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy choices in the game.
- iPhone tracking: the game asks whether it may use your Advertising Identifier. You can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- If you say no, you still see ads, but they are less relevant to you.
- Rewarded ads (the ones that give you a bonus) are always your own choice.
4. Apple
Apple gives me combined download statistics and, if you agreed in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, crash reports. See Apple's privacy policy.
Remove Ads is an optional one-time purchase in the App Store. Apple handles the payment; I never see your payment details. The game only asks the App Store on your phone whether your Apple account owns Remove Ads. That answer stays on your phone and is not sent to my server.
Coin packs (online coins) are optional purchases in the App Store. Apple handles the payment; I never see your payment details or your Apple ID. After a purchase, the game sends Apple's signed proof of the purchase to my server, which checks Apple's signature and adds the coins to your online boxer. The server keeps the transaction number, the pack, the number of coins and the date, so a purchase can never be paid out twice.
Reminders (optional, iPhone): if you say yes, the game plans one note on your phone for when you have not played for a week (and one more a week later). They are planned and shown by your phone itself; nothing about them is sent to me. Turn them off in the game's settings or in iOS Settings → Notifications.
5. What the game does not do
No email or password accounts, no chat, no in-app purchases other than the optional Remove Ads and coin packs, no analytics tools of my own, no access to your location services, camera, microphone, contacts or photos, and I never sell personal data.
6. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect data from children. Ads in the game are limited to content suitable for teenagers.
7. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Online mode: needed to provide the online service you chose to use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); handling reports and blocks: legitimate interest in a fair and safe game (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Personalised ads: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Non-personalised ads, frequency limits and fraud prevention: legitimate interest in offering the game for free (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Saving progress on your device: needed to provide the game.
- Feedback you choose to send: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
8. International transfers and retention
The online server and database are in the EU. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, with safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Data on your device stays until you reset or delete the game; Google keeps data according to its own policies.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, to data portability and to withdraw consent. You control your career data on your device yourself (reset or delete the app). Your online boxer you can rename and delete in the game, or email me to get a copy. For data collected by Google, use Google's controls, such as My Ad Center. You can always email me, and you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your own country.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, I update this page and the date at the top.

Privacybeleid
Bag to Belt: Idle Boxer · Laatst bijgewerkt 12 oktober 2026
Wie is verantwoordelijk
